Voicelinx is a telephone service that allows you to make free, or very low cost, telephone calls to any telephone in the world through your Internet connection.
It doesn’t matter what telephone or provider the person you are calling uses or where they are. Voicelinx is a smart digital service with easy to use features that, before the internet, were once either expensive or unavailable.
Your voice is converted into many tiny information “packets” which are sent through the internet and reassembled at the other end. This technology is called Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP.
The important decisions about how to send your call and what to do with incoming calls are all cleverly managed in this easy to use website with a customer login area.
There are no tin cans and definitely no strings!
Whilst Voicelinx can be just as simple as making a call from any old fashioned phone, it also has many advanced features.

A normal broadband internet connection should be fast enough to cope with both telephone calls and other internet traffic at the same time. However if your voice call is at all affected by your other internet activity your router or separate firewall may be able to prioritise your voice call to help.
Just ask your IT support provider to enable Quality of Service (QoS) for sip traffic.
If you have a Voicelinx telephone, you will be able to use it wherever you travel, as long as you have a high speed Internet connection that it can plug into.
Your number will follow you wherever you go!
If you have a softphone installed on your smartphone or laptop you can use Voicelinx anywhere you have an internet connection too – even in a wireless Wi-Fi hotspot in a hotel, airport or restaurant.
If you are using a Voicelinx Software phone to call via your computer then you will need your computer switched on. However, if you are making calls with a Voicelinx enabled phone, you only need your internet connection. This means your internet router needs to always be on but not your PC.
Yes, you can usually transfer any number that has been yours. To do this simply sign up and we will help you. It will take at least 2 weeks to do this, but in the meantime you can often divert calls from your old number to your newly assigned Voicelinx number.
