A normal broadband internet connection should be fast enough to cope with both telephone calls and other internet traffic at the same time. However if your voice call is at all affected by your other internet activity your router or separate firewall may be able to prioritise your voice call to help.
Just ask your IT support provider to enable Quality of Service (QoS) for sip traffic.
